Meet Union Spy, Elizabeth Van Lew - March, 11th 2023

We welcome you to join us on March, 11th at 11:00 to meet Civil War Spy Elizabeth Van Lew. Incredible actress, Kitt finch, will portray this largely unknown woman whom likely changed the course of history. Elizabeth Van Lew is credited with heading the largest espionage ring in American history. Her information was so valuable to Grant that he appointed her Head Post Master General in Richmond after the Civil War. We hope you can join us for this family friendly and free event at the Museum.

Courtyard Renovation Project

We are so excited to announce that our Courtyard Renovation Project is complete! This enormous feat is thanks to the Bucks County Tourism Grant Program, The King Questers and our incredible members. We also are thankful to Costco and Target for making donations towards the furnishing of the courtyard. The Bucks County Civil War Museum looks forward to hosting many events in this new and beautiful space in the near future!

General Museum and Roundtable Updates

After much deliberation, the Board of Directors has made the decision to cancelled all in-person Borough Hall meetings until further notice. We are considering doing Roundtable Meetings via Zoom, and will keep you updated as things progress.

The museum itself will also be closed until October 3rd at the earliest, with the exception of scheduled tours.

As always, we thank you for your patience and hope to see you as soon as possible.

Open for Tours

With the COVID-19 pandemic still raging, the museum cannot open to the general public quite yet. BUT, we are open for tours by appointment only. If you would like to schedule a tour, please fill out the form below, or reach out via phone at (215) 822 - 1562.

We thank you again for your patience and your support during these difficult times. Stay safe!

July Roundtable Meeting Cancelled

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak, the Bucks County Civil War Round Table Meeting for July 7th has been cancelled. The topic was going to be “W. W. H. Davis” presented by Mike Campbell. We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause, and will keep you updated on any further schedule changes as they occur.

From everyone at the museum, thank you for your constant support, and we hope you are staying safe in these unprecedented times.
